naze hen-na hito!?!
since japan lacks any kind of central heating, everyone uses kerosene heaters, which they call "stoves". kerosene is sold at propane stores, and you can get propane delivered to your door.
last month was my first time ordering propane. i biked down to the store, about a minute away from the apartment, went in, and ordered propane. then i went home and about an hour later the propane guy brought up 2 cans of propane and refilled my 2 cans. ok. fast forward to yesterday. lisa needed propane so we went together to the propane store, and asked if they could still deliver since it was late. they said ok, and lisa gave them her apartment number. so then we biked home and maybe 10 minutes later, i hear my doorbell buzzing and it's the propane guy-- the same one as last time. except that now he is at the wrong apartment... so i took him to lisa's apartment and was wondering why he showed up when the apartment numbers are different. and then we got to lisa's and while the guy is filling up the propane, he says something like oh, i got an order to deliver propane and they said "hen-na hito" came in and ordered it. well, "hen" means weird or strange, and hito means person/people, so naze?! (why???) so we were asking him naze hen-na hito?!! why are we weird people? but i couldn't get what he was saying. sheesh. and at first i didn't feel so bad because maybe lisa was the hen-na hito he was talking about.. but then i realized that when they told him hen-na hito ordered it, he automatically assumed it was me and showed up at my apartment which means... hey!!
NAZE?!!

I feel as though I should be comforting and tell you that you must've misunderstood him and that he didn't call you weird, but, hmm, well...I've been trying to tell you for years that you're no more normal than me and Nicole. You're weird, my dear. :) Miss you!
haha that's funny! i say you're both weird. why argue over it?
