kathleen's wedding

arg. i just made a long post and it all got erased!!!!! grrr....

just came back from hawaii. i got sick as soon as i got there (can't handle the nice weather i guess!) and lost my voice by the middle of the week, but it was still a blast! here are the pictures.

being home again was so nice. got to eat some really good food, and spend time with family & friends... i really needed that. didn't get to see lots of people i wanted to (especially some family).. the time just flew by.

doing wedding stuff before the big day was lots of fun. we made the "firecrackers" for the lion dance, hung out with the bridal party & had a photo scavenger hunt. us girls got to do some bonding too, having a spa day w/ a manicure & pedicure and shopping for jewelry :)

the big day came really fast. we spent the night at the hotel and then all had to wake up at 3:30! too early! but we had to get hair and makeup done and get dressed. then we all piled into the limo at 8:15 and went to foster gardens. the weather was a bit drizzly but that didn't stop it from being a beautiful ceremony. lance's vows were so sweet they made me cry!-- but not as much as katrina & kathleen.. the reverend had to give them kleenex in the middle of the ceremony! after that we headed down to the hotel for the reception. the food was awesome but i didn't eat that much. they made my dress kinda tight around the middle so i had hardly any room for expansion! they had a lion dance, and then lunch, and then somehow i got through my speech ok despite only having half a voice. i get so nervous talking in front of so many people! after the toasts and the banzai, they had a really nice slide show, and keane & jill sang the song for their first dance. it was so nice! after the reception, we all were so tired but i didn't sleep much until the plane ride home... had to make the most of precious hawaii-time!

other fun stuff during the break: we got to see miss saigon at ACT, hot-chocolate tuesday (with salsa!), going to pet stores (i can't find any in japan!), trivial pursuit (i didn't win.. again), eating hawaiian plate & oxtail soup, eating good home cooking, karaoke (even though i couldn't sing), and hugs. next time, first on the list is beach! i didn't get to go this time :(

anyway, now back at school. the weather has much improved since i left and there is more greenery and flowers now.. can't wait for sakura and my first spring! no school till 4/6 so let's cruise! :) oh, planning to get a haircut... what should i do?

Meow! I'm so glad that you were in my wedding! It wouldn't have been the same without you. One of my dad's friend's sent us a DVD of the reception. My parents watched the whole thing on Tuesday and my mom started crying during your speech. :)
