weekend in kyoto

just got back from kyoto! we took an overnight bus there on friday and arrived saturday morning. kyoto is so cool! we will definitely be going back there. we went to lots of neat shops and did karaoke which was really fun but highlight of our visit was dressing up as maiko (understudies to the geisha) in gion. picture is blurry but can you find me? click here or album link on right for more pictures from kyoto.

i was supposed to go back to work today but it was cancelled due to a typhoon! this one was pretty "moretsu"= violent. where we were, it was just super windy and rainy but some other places in japan got badly damaged and there were even fatalities :(

since there was no bus, i couldn't go to work so i just stayed indoors today and relaxed-- extended weekend! =)
