band-ies are the best
so the first time i went to go have lunch in the cafe, i sat by myself and while i was eating, some girls came up to me and asked if iwanted to have lunch with them sometime. later i found out that they are in the brass-band club! brass-band is what they call band here, and it isn't taken as a class-- only as an after school club, but anyway, aren't band students the best? i was all alone and they're the only ones who invited me to eat lunch. so today they came to get me from the staffroom and we all went to lunch together in the cafeteria. it was challenging talking with each other in mixed japanese and english but it was a lot of fun :)
this got me thinking. in light of this incident, alonside with the fact that my closest friends were in band at one time or another, i conclude that there must not only be something about me that screams "fellow band-geek!" but also some other weird phenomenon that even transcends all language barriers that allows us band-ies to find each other and stick together. that's a pretty comforting thought for me. oh, and i'd like to note, for those of you who know the levels of band-geekiness, that these are the "cool" band-geeks like us (hehe), not those uh... other ones... you know what i mean.
anyway, yes. band-ies are the best.
